Sawyer Lyn Imrie-Johnson

Business & IP Associate Attorney

Sawyer is a business and intellectual property attorney at Grumbles Law, where she helps clients protect and grow what they’ve built. Her practice includes business formation, contracts, intellectual property strategy, and ongoing legal support designed to foster innovation and reduce risk.

With prior in-house experience, Sawyer understands the fast-paced realities businesses face. She delivers solutions that are not only legally sound but also practical and aligned with broader business goals. She strives to make the legal process accessible and responsive to each client’s unique needs.

Before becoming an attorney, Sawyer worked as an intellectual property paralegal, where she developed a strong foundation, and a lasting passion, for trademarks, branding, and copyright. Her interest in IP grew further while working in a corporate legal department, where she gained valuable experience in advertising, marketing, and creative expression.

Sawyer is licensed to practice in Minnesota and earned her J.D. from Mitchell Hamline School of Law. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, crocheting, taking her sports car for drives, and participating in local car shows and club events when the weather permits.
