Janice Leverett

Senior Business and Intellectual Property Attorney

Janice is a senior business and intellectual property attorney at Grumbles Law. She represents innovative clients that range from technology companies to creative artists in the entertainment (film, music) and fashion industries. She works with clients to help them secure and grow their business endeavors and intellectual property assets. Before joining Grumbles Law, she worked as in-house counsel for market-leading companies in the medical device, oil and gas, banking, and insurance industries. She has also worked in the entertainment industry as a music manager.

Janice graduated from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio with a BS in Industrial Engineering and worked as an engineer at a medical device company before attending law school. She then graduated from St. Mary’s University with a joint degree in law and an MS in Industrial Engineering. She obtained a Certificate in Innovation from the University of Texas at Austin and a Scotworks Advanced Negotiations Certification. She’s licensed to practice in Texas and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

Janice is also an active, award-winning screenwriter and film and documentary producer with films featured at the Cannes Film Festival, Raw Science Film Festival, and several more nationwide. She is also the sole named inventor on two U.S. patents (8,504,432 and 8,150,024) for Systems and Methods for Directing Disposition of Certificate of Deposit.
